About GCS
An enterprise website worthy of life-saving work, shipped in under three months, on Framer.
Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) makes some of the most dangerous places on earth safe again. The Swiss company designs the machines and runs the operations that remove landmines, IEDs, and the explosive remnants of war, clearing the ground so communities can return home, farm their land, and rebuild. By GCS's own reporting, its flagship GCS‑200 platform alone has cleared more than 40 million square metres, much of it across Ukraine.
Work like that earns trust through precision and seriousness. Their website needed to do the same. So we rebuilt it from the ground up: hundreds of pages, around 30 CMS collections, custom 3D, and motion design, with all‑green Lighthouse scores and no compromise on quality anywhere. And we did it in under three months.
GCS had outgrown its old Squarespace site. For a company operating across more than 30 countries, with a deep product catalogue, an active newsroom, and a global field presence, the platform simply couldn't carry the weight. The result looked and felt lighter than the organisation behind it.
They wanted something that finally matched the calibre of the work: a genuinely professional, enterprise‑grade website that could scale to hundreds of pages and dozens of content types without buckling, and without dragging them into the operational overhead of a headless CMS and a full engineering team to maintain it.
In short, they needed the credibility and polish of a custom build, the scalability of an enterprise platform, and the simplicity of something their own team could actually run.
The new gcs.ch has been received exceptionally well. It finally gives GCS a digital presence that carries the same authority as their work in the field. It's also built to grow with them. As the product line expands and the newsroom keeps pace with operations worldwide, the team can keep publishing without ever calling in engineering.
