Overview

Create an engaging, playful interaction with the Mouse Image Trail component. As visitors move their cursor across your site, a vibrant sequence of images appears, trailing their path before smoothly fading away. Perfect for creative portfolios, photography sites, and modern landing pages. Includes fluid animations powered by Framer Motion, fully customizable physics (distance, size, fade duration), and random rotation effects.

Features

Customizable Imagery: Add your own sequence of images.
Fluid Animations: Smooth scaling and fading with Framer Motion.
Fully Adjustable Settings: Control distance, size, fade duration, and random rotation.
Performance Optimized: Built-in maximum image limits for smooth running on all devices.

Use Cases

Creative Portfolios: Showcase your best work in an unexpected, interactive way as users explore your site.
Photography Studios: Provide a sneak peek of photo sessions directly connected to the user's cursor.
Playful Landing Pages: Add a "wow" factor to a hero section to capture visitor attention immediately.

Properties

Images: Array of images to cycle through as the trail is created.
Distance: The physical distance the mouse must move before spawning a new image.
Fade Out (s): How long an image stays visible before fading away.
Image Size: The width and height of each spawned image.
Rotation Range: The maximum random rotation applied to each image for organic variety.
Max Images: The maximum number of images allowed on screen at once to prevent lag.

Customization

Easily adjust the component to fit your design style directly from the Framer properties panel. Add as many images as you want to the sequence, set the Image Size to determine how large each photo appears, and tweak the trail physics (Distance, Fade Out (s), Rotation Range) to get the exact look and feel you want.
