Hi everyone, I just published Studio Aven, a new template on the Framer Marketplace.
It's made for film production companies, producers and directors: people whose work is better seen than described. The site opens on a full-screen showreel with the studio name in the middle and six projects placed around it.
A few parts I enjoyed building:
- hovering a project title swaps the whole background to that film's cover, while the showreel keeps running underneath
- a soft film grain over the showreel, made as a small code component you can tune
- an archive set like a production datasheet, in a subtitle yellow, with category filters and a cover that follows your cursor between rows
- project pages with full credits, festival awards and a gallery that moves with a gentle parallax
- an about page where awards and training come straight from the CMS
It also comes with built-in Framer Skills. Type /customize in Framer AI and it walks you through making the site yours, from the studio name and showreel to projects and SEO. /design-system keeps anything new in the template's style, and a Styleguide page lists every token, text style and component.
I'd love to hear what you think, and I'm happy to answer questions about how it's put together.
