About Oakville Community

Oakville Community Church — a Salvation Army congregation in the middle of a big transition — needed a website that could welcome visitors while the church itself was between buildings. The brief: help a first-time guest feel oriented and at ease before ever walking through the door, with clear service times, location details for the temporary meeting space, and an honest picture of who the church is.

I designed the site around the visitor journey. A calm, uncluttered homepage answers the essentials in seconds — when, where, what to expect — supported by warm photography of real people and simple paths to plan a visit, explore ministries, or get in touch. It's built in Framer with a clean CMS structure, so church staff can update service details and announcements without touching the design.

The result is a site that works as hard as a welcome team: clear, warm, and easy to maintain through a season of change. Pastor Matthew Trottier called it exactly what the church needed for this chapter.
