Grayson Gavras

A dynamic portfolio that breaks the rules for Grayson Gavras, an NYC-based graphic designer, web designer, and photographer. The site was designed to showcase each portfolio piece as cleanly and clearly as possible, while making the website itself a creative and unique interface.

Rather than treating the website as a simple container for the work, the portfolio becomes part of the work. Movement, typography, navigation, composition, and interaction are used to create an experience that feels unexpected without getting in the way of the projects themselves. The site intentionally breaks some of the typical rules of movement and graphic design, creating moments that encourage visitors to explore, interact, and spend a little more time with the work.

The result is a portfolio that is functional but never feels overly rigid, structured but still playful. Each interaction is designed with purpose, balancing the need for clarity with the opportunity to experiment.
